Can I use this with OpenAI or Claude structured outputs?
Yes. Both accept a JSON Schema describing the answer. Keep it simple: flat objects and clear field names work best.
Why is only the first array item used?
The schema assumes all items in an array share the first item's shape, which is the usual case for API data.
