Built to be used by
everyone.
Accessibility is not a checkbox we tick once. It is a standard we design and build against on every page, and a commitment we keep reviewing as the site grows.
What we do
Six commitments, on every page.
Semantic structure
Semantic HTML with a logical heading hierarchy on every page, so screen readers and assistive technology can navigate the content correctly.
Colour contrast
Body text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios in both light and dark sections of the site.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators throughout.
Screen reader support
ARIA labels on icon-only controls, a skip-to-content link on every page, and meaningful alt text on images that carry information.
Reduced motion
Animations and transitions respect the operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting and are disabled when requested.
Accessible forms
Every form label is associated with its input, required fields are marked clearly, and error messages are announced to assistive technology.
Still in progress
Accessibility is a practice, not a finished state.
We audit new pages against WCAG 2.1 AA before launch, but a site this size will always have edges we haven't found yet. If you hit one, we want to know about it, and we treat every report as a real bug, not feedback that sits in a backlog.
Found a barrier on this site? Email hello@purist.online with a description of the issue and the page where you saw it. We reply within one business day and treat accessibility reports as priority fixes, not general feedback.
Third-party content
What we can and can't control.
Where this site embeds content from third parties (payment processors, embedded video, social widgets), we choose providers that meet comparable accessibility standards, but we can't guarantee accessibility we don't build ourselves. If a third-party embed is blocking you from getting something done, email us and we'll find you a direct, accessible path to the same information.
Hit a barrier? Tell us directly.
No form, no ticket queue. Just email and a real person reads it the same day.
Email hello@purist.onlineWe review this statement regularly as the site changes.
