Remediation (automated)
Automatically fixing detected problems without human intervention. Example: if a workflow detects a failed payment, it automatically retries the charge, sends the customer a notification, and updates the CRM record no human action required.
Expert insight
Automated remediation (a system automatically fixing a detected problem, like restarting a failed service) needs a limit on how many times it retries the same fix before escalating to a human, remediation that keeps attempting the same automated fix indefinitely against a problem the fix can't actually solve just delays the real resolution.
How PURIST uses this
This concept is built into every automation we deploy.
When PURIST builds your automation, Remediation (automated) is not an optional consideration it is part of the production standard. Our workflows are tested against edge cases, monitored 24/7, and built to handle what happens when things don't go as expected.
Every client workflow we deploy in the Operations category is designed with this principle in mind from day one not added as an afterthought.
Complexity level
Requires some familiarity with automation concepts.
