Node (n8n)
A single step in an n8n workflow a trigger, action, transformation, or decision. Nodes are connected visually to create workflows. n8n has 400+ native nodes and supports custom nodes for bespoke integrations.
Expert insight
A node's failure behavior (does it stop the whole workflow, or just that branch) needs to be understood before relying on it, not discovered during an actual production incident. n8n's "continue on fail" setting, for example, changes this behavior per node, and leaving it at the default without a deliberate decision means the default becomes the incident response plan by accident.
How PURIST uses this
This concept is built into every automation we deploy.
When PURIST builds your automation, Node (n8n) is not an optional consideration it is part of the production standard. Our workflows are tested against edge cases, monitored 24/7, and built to handle what happens when things don't go as expected.
Every client workflow we deploy in the Platforms category is designed with this principle in mind from day one not added as an afterthought.
