Mock data
Fake but realistic data used to test workflows before connecting to live systems. PURIST builds workflows against mock data first simulating form submissions, payments, and CRM updates before pointing workflows at real production APIs.
Expert insight
Testing a workflow exclusively with clean, hand-crafted mock data hides the bugs that only show up with messy real data, missing fields, unexpected null values, unicode characters in names. Mock data is useful for the first pass of testing, but a workflow should also be tested against a sample of real production data before going live.
How PURIST uses this
This concept is built into every automation we deploy.
When PURIST builds your automation, Mock data is not an optional consideration it is part of the production standard. Our workflows are tested against edge cases, monitored 24/7, and built to handle what happens when things don't go as expected.
Every client workflow we deploy in the Architecture category is designed with this principle in mind from day one not added as an afterthought.
