Namespace

A logical grouping of workflow components variables, credentials, and queues to prevent naming collisions when multiple automations coexist. PURIST namespaces all client resources to keep configurations clean and maintainable.

Expert insight

Namespacing (prefixing variable or field names, e.g. "client_email" vs. just "email") prevents naming collisions once a workflow system grows to include many integrations, a generic field name that made sense with two connected tools becomes ambiguous once fifteen tools are involved and several of them have their own concept of "status" or "name".

In a real workflow

Workflow names are prefixed by client, such as "ACME – Lead routing", to avoid confusion.

Common mistakes

  • Inconsistent naming.
  • Reusing names across environments.
